QUESTION 1: “Do you want to change Maine election laws to eliminate two days of absentee voting, prohibit requests for absentee ballots by phone or family members, end ongoing absentee voter status for seniors and people with disabilities, ban prepaid postage on absentee ballot return envelopes, limit the number of drop boxes, require voters to show certain photo ID before voting, and make other changes to our elections?”
QUESTION 2: “Do you want to allow courts to temporarily prohibit a person from having dangerous weapons if law enforcement, family, or household members show that the person poses a significant danger of causing physical injury to themselves or others?”
Absentee ballots will be available October 4, 2025
Absentee ballots will be processed at 2:00pm at the polls.

The Hartford Select Board, following receipt of a petition signed by at least ten percent of the number of Hartford voters who voted at the last
gubernatorial election, orders that a secret ballot referendum be held in the Town of Hartford on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, to vote upon the following question:
Question: Do you favor filing a petition for withdrawal with the Board of Directors of Regional School Unit 10 and with the
Commissioner of Education, authorizing the withdrawal committee to expend $50,000, and authorizing the Select Board to issue
notes in the name of the Town of Hartford or otherwise pledge the credit of the Town of Hartford in an amount not to exceed $50,000 for this purpose?
___YES ____NO
Absentee ballots will be available October 4, 2025
