Licenses and Registrations
Many registrations and licenses are handled through State of Maine online services. The Town Office can also assist with many registration services in person.
State of Maine Online Services
- Register a motor vehicle through Maine.gov
- Register an ATV, boat, or snowmobile through Maine.gov
- Purchase hunting and fishing licenses through Maine.gov
- Apply for a burn permit through Maine.gov
State-level marriage record information is available through the Maine CDC Vital Records.

Voting and Registration
Maine allows same-day voter registration.
Residents may:
- Register to vote at the Town Office during regular office hours
- Register to vote on Election Day at the polling place
- Update voter registration information through the Town Office

Report a Complaint, Suggestion, or Concern
To submit a complaint, suggestion, or concern, email the Selectboard at selectboard@townofhartfordmaine.com. Please include your name, contact information, and a detailed description of the issue.
- For code enforcement complaints, contact the Code Enforcement Officer.
- For emergencies, call 911.
- For non-emergency assistance or to volunteer for a Town board or committee, contact the Town Office.
