Town Policies
The following policies have been adopted by the Hartford Select Board. Copies of each policy are available at the Town Office and in the documents library.
Beach Policy
Establishes rules for the use of Hartford Beach, including parking pass requirements, hours of operation, and conduct standards.
Bulky Waste Collection Policy
Defines the procedures, schedule, and acceptable items for Hartford’s seasonal bulky waste collection program.
Citizen Request Agenda Deadline Policy
Establishes the deadline and procedures for citizens to request items be placed on the Select Board meeting agenda.
Code of Ethics
Sets ethical standards for Hartford’s elected and appointed officials, including conflict of interest provisions and conduct expectations.
Driveway Permit Policy
Establishes requirements and procedures for obtaining a driveway entrance permit for access onto town roads.
Fee Schedule
Lists the current fees for permits, licenses, registrations, and other Town Office services. Updated periodically by the Select Board.
Public Meeting Participation Policy
Establishes guidelines for public participation during Select Board meetings and other public meetings of the Town of Hartford.
Sand Use Policy
Defines the rules for residential use of town sand during winter months, including pickup locations and allowable quantities.
